 WHAT IF I HAVE NO PHYSICAL TRAINING?

 If you don't know what it is or you are too intimidated to try something new, here are 4 reasons

         why  COMPOUND'S NEW BEGINNINGS BOOT CAMP is the right fit for you:

 

     1. It can be scaled to your individual fitness level. If you come to COMPOUND with no experience
        at all, your workout will be set at a beginner’s level. Everyone from the elite athlete to grandma
        does the same exercises. The intensity and volume are the only things that change to meet specific
        age, weight, medical issues, training history, endurance levels, strength levels, and flexibility.


     2. It combines conditioning and strength training into one. In every  session, you'll do body
          weight exercises like push ups and squats, cardio conditioning such as rowing and running, along with
          movements using kettle bells, medicine balls, and other equipment to develop endurance, power,
          flexibility, stamina and strength. There are also days where heavy weight lifting (sometimes
          Olympic style) is combined with cardio. Either way, you'll get a full body workout.

      3. No two sessions are the same.
           We all know that if we go to the gym without an exercise plan, we go for what’s comfortable.
           We eliminate predictable “routine” workouts that cause plateaus and burnouts by replacing them with
           constantly varied exercise sessions.  

     4. Functional fitness. In OUR approach, functional training mimics natural movements, such as rising
         from sitting, picking an object up off the floor, jumping, climbing or lifting an object over your head --
         all exercises designed to develop the kind of strength, power and endurance you need to meet the
         demands of daily life.

                                     ABOUT THE PROGRAM
 

    * The program is 4 weeks long.
    * The first day will be an introductory class. This is the day you will create your personal file
    * The first day of training will be your initial fitness test, measurements, body fat analysis, etc.
    * There will be a final test and assessment after completion of your 4-weeks.

 
THE TRAINING

Once the initial fit test is over, your real training begins.....You will start to learn the foundational
movements of the body, how to move your body more effectively, how to move a load with your body.

 

 

You will learn and practice the ten general physical skills;


GENERAL PHYSICAL SKILLS


If your goal is optimum physical competence then all the general physical skills must be considered:

     1. Cardiovascular/respiratory endurance- The ability of body systems to gather, process,
                                                                     and deliver oxygen.

     2.  Stamina - The ability of body systems to process, deliver, store, and utilize energy.

     3.  Strength - The ability of a muscular unit, or combination of muscular units, to apply force.

     4.  Flexibility - The ability to maximize the range of motion at a given joint.

     5.  Power - The ability of a muscular unit, or combination of muscular units, to apply maximum
                       force in minimum time.

     6.  Speed - The ability to minimize the time cycle of a repeated movement.

     7.  Coordination - The ability to combine several distinct movement patterns into a singular
                                 distinct movement.

     8.  Agility - The ability to minimize transition time from one movement pattern to another.

     9.  Balance - The ability to control the placement of the bodies center of gravity in relation to its
                         support base.

   10.  Accuracy - The ability to control movement in a given direction or at a given intensity.

 

GROUP LED INSTRUCTION =  means you will have a coach there with you at all times to teach
                                            proper technique, demonstrate movements and provide motivation
                                            and guidance, as well as ensure safety among all participants.

INSTRUCTOR LED =  warm up and workouts....also available after class for additional
                                instruction.

MENTOR PROGRAM =   our advanced and competition-level athletes will be available
as mentors for the boot campers.
